Today, we’ll be looking at how to use the photo sharing web site, Flickr, and ways in which to use it in the K-12 classroom. Here’s a brief agenda of what we’ ll be doing today:
1) Introduction to Flickr
2) Demonstration of how to start a Flickr page/importing & organizing photos
3) Social networking features of Flickr/notes, tags, groups
4) Using Flickr toys & tools/bubblr, bookr, speller, phrasr, vocab, movie poster
5) See how other teachers use Flickr in the classroom/digital bulletin boards, flicktion, virtual field trips, eyes of the world, digital storytelling 1, digital storytelling 2, concept mapping
6) Create a Flickr page or Flickr-based activity for your own classroom
